2011 LIVE Auction Item: Booth Tarkington Dinner

**LIVE AUCTION ITEM**

Booth Tarkington Dinner

In 1916, the Lotos Club of New York toasted two time Pulitzer Prize winner Booth Tarkington with a magnificent dinner. The multicourse menu featured dishes named for Tarkington's books and characters. Now you and your friends can enjoy that same dinner, recreated in Tarkington's Meridian Street mansion, which is celebrating its centennial this year. You will enjoy cocktails and live music in the marble floored library, followed by a formal dinner in the walnut paneled dining room - the same dining room in which Tarkington entertained the Marx Brothers, Joan Fontaine, Katherine Hapburn and many others. The evening also includes a tour of the house to see where Tarkington wrote over 42 novels and countless plays. Chefs O'Donnell and Sadler will provide this lavish evening for up to 12 people and at a mutually agreeable date.
